    I would like to explain the high incidence of absences by CPS teachers.  At CPS they force you take a whole day off for a doctor's appointment.  According to the union contract you can't leave an hour early or even a half an hour unless it is an emergency.  Doctor appointments are not deemed emergencies.  People don't realize that whenever we are out a substitute must be placed in our job.  It's just not like other jobs.  I agree with the other posters.     All major cities in the US are terror targets. If the terrorists come to Illinois or not, as long as the Federal agencies follow up with any and all leads of threats there shouldn't be any problems, but with the government trying to be Politically Correct, thats where the problems arise.

    It's already a known fact that the Sears Tower (aka Willis Tower) and O'Hare have already been targeted; I don't see much of a difference if the Gitmo prisoners are brought here as long as the security doesn't get lax.

    I really couldn't agree more with you, but you failed to mention that "Gun Enthusiasts"are also called "Gun Nuts" by those who have no concept of firearms or firearm safety, they prefer to listen to idiots like king dicky (dayley) who keep screaming for gun control but yet they themselves own firearms, but then again if I had chicago cops around me 24-7 I wouldn't worry about self defense either!
